About the Artist

Jef CLERENS
Belgian, born 1875. A well-listed watercolor artist, Jef Clerens was especially known for his depiction of the famous Flemish béguinages and other important architectural views. Documented views include views of the béguinageof Aalst, Bruges and Mechelen as well as views of Brussels.
